What to expect

The Sharpsteen Museum is an award-winning museum created by Walt Disney animator and producer, Ben Sharpsteen. The museum features dioramas, artifacts, antiques, and exhibits designed to make history fun and educational for adults and children alike. One of the highlights is an extensive, highly detailed 30-foot diorama that offers a glimpse of 1860s Calistoga and its Hot Springs Resort developed by Sam Brannan. The museum also showcases one of 11 actual 'Oscars' awarded to Ben Sharpsteen during his 30-years with Disney. The museum is a must-see destination for those interested in the rich history of Calistoga and the upper Napa Valley. It is also a great place for kids, with exhibits and activities that are both entertaining and educational. Visitors can also explore the restored Sam Brannan Cottage, which is complete with vintage furnishings, and learn about the history of wellness practices in Napa Valley
