Devil's Bridge Trail

Hiking trail Sedona, Arizona, United States

What to expect

Devil's Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the Sedona area, offering breathtaking views of Red Rock country. The trail to the bridge is a moderately challenging 3.9-mile out-and-back hike with a steep climb at the end. The trail starts as a smooth, wide path, but becomes steeper and rockier as you approach the bridge. The final section involves a natural rock staircase and narrow ledges, but the reward is a thrilling experience and great photo opportunities. The bridge itself is a wide, flat area with stunning views, making it a great spot to rest and take in the scenery. The best times to visit are September through June, and it's recommended to arrive early to avoid crowds

Arizona: Hiking in Sedona to Devil's Bridge

Arizona: Hiking in Sedona to Devil's Bridge
This family's experience:

Activities: We hiked the 6km round trip Devil's Bridge Trail. The ascent was challenging, especially the part up to the bridge itself. We used a child carrier for our 2-year-old on some sections. We took lots of water with us as there was little shade

Highlights: We were rewarded with amazing views of the Sedona landscape. We got to walk along Devil's Bridge, which was less scary than it looks in photos. The red rocks were beautiful in the afternoon sun, making it a perfect introduction to hiking in Sedona ✨
