What to expect

Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona. The overlook is about a 1,000-foot drop, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the Colorado River winding its way through the red-hued sandstone canyon. The trail to the overlook is a 1.5-mile round trip over a hardened path, suitable for the whole family and welcoming wheelchairs, strollers, and leashed dogs. There are two shade structures along the length of the trail, but none at the overlook itself. Visitors should be prepared with plenty of water, sunscreen, and sturdy footwear, as there is little shade along the Horseshoe Bend Trail. The area is a great spot for families to explore and enjoy the natural beauty of the Colorado River
