Lowell Observatory is an astronomical observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona, United States. It was established in 1894 and is one of the oldest observatories in the United States. The observatory was founded by astronomer Percival Lowell and is known for being the place where the dwarf planet Pluto was discovered in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh. The observatory offers various programs and activities, including the Astronomy Discovery Center, which features a rooftop observing plaza and the Curiosity Zone. Visitors can also attend camps for children known as LOCKs (Lowell Observatory Camps for Kids)
