Flagstaff is a city located in the high country mountains of northern Arizona. It has a population of 76,831 and is the county seat of Coconino County. The city experiences four distinct seasons, with winter bringing an average of 108 inches of snowfall, spring offering breathtaking beauty with blooms in the world's largest emerald green ponderosa pine forest, summer temperatures averaging in the low 80s, and fall providing a panoramic canvas of quaking aspen and foliage with hues of reds and purples. Flagstaff is near the southwestern edge of the Colorado Plateau and within the San Francisco volcanic field, along the western side of the largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest in the continental United States. The city is home to Northern Arizona University and has a strong tourism sector due to its proximity to Grand Canyon National Park, Oak Creek Canyon, the Arizona Snowbowl, Meteor Crater, and Historic Route 66
