Glasgow Botanic Gardens is a botanical garden featuring several glasshouses, the most notable of which is the Kibble Palace. The Gardens has a wide variety of temperate and tropical flora, a herb garden, a chronological bed with plants arranged according to their introduction to Scotland, the UK's national collection of tree ferns, and a world rose garden. The River Kelvin runs along the north side of the Gardens and continues through Kelvingrove Park. Visitors can explore the 'A' listed Kibble Palace, which houses a collection of plants from various areas of the world, including temperate plants, carnivorous plants, and plants native to the Canary Islands. The Gardens also offer free entry and a tea room with a variety of food and drink options
