What to expect

Greyfriars Kirkyard is a historic graveyard located in the Old Town of Edinburgh, Scotland. It is surrounded by Greyfriars Kirk and is one of the most famous graveyards in the world. The Kirkyard is owned by Edinburgh City Council and is open 24 hours a day. It is the final resting place of many notable Edinburgh residents, including Tom Riddell, whose grave is said to have inspired J.K. Rowling's character Tom Riddle in the Harry Potter series. The Kirkyard is also associated with Greyfriars Bobby, a loyal dog who guarded his master's grave for 14 years. Visitors can take a virtual tour of the Kirkyard or visit in person to see the many historic graves and monuments
