Belfast Zoo, also known as Bellevue Zoo, is a 55-acre zoo located on the northeastern slope of Cavehill, overlooking Belfast's Antrim Road. The zoo is home to over 1,200 animals and 140 species, with the majority being in danger in their natural habitat. The zoo carries out important conservation work and takes part in over 90 European and international breeding programmes. Visitors can enjoy various facilities, including cafes, a zoovenir shop, and accessible facilities such as a Zoomobile, free carers' entry, and wheelchairs. The zoo also offers a free audio tour and hosts various events throughout the year, making it a great place to visit with family and friends
