W5 is an award-winning science and discovery centre that provides a unique experience and fantastic fun for visitors of all ages. It features over 250 hands-on exhibits in four exhibition areas, a changing calendar of events and seasonal activities, daily science demonstration shows, and a range of interactive zones. Some of the highlights include Climbit, a huge multi-storey climbing structure, RoboThespian, a life-sized humanoid robot, MED-Lab, an interactive exhibition zone that explores the human body, and AMAZE, a technological space that offers immersive adventures. The centre also has a dedicated area for under 8s, called The Lost Planet, which features a space and dinosaur-themed maze of climbing frames and slides.
