The Welney Wetland Centre is a nature reserve located in Wisbech, England. It offers a variety of activities and attractions, including the Lady Fen, a 300-acre wetland creation area, a bird feeding station, and the Fenland worlds exhibition, which showcases how people made their livelihoods from the wetlands before they were drained. The centre also features a pond room with art and craft activity stations, a main observatory for watching wildlife, and dragonfly ponds. Visitors can also take a summer walk through the wildflowers or visit the Lyle hide to see wintering wildfowl or summer sounds. The centre has a cafe, shop, and toilets, and offers free admission for children under 4 years old and essential helpers assisting disabled visitors. The centre is accessible to everyone, with the Wigeon Café providing sweeping views of the fenland landscape and a selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes, and hot food options

Activities: We visited the Fenland Worlds Discovery Centre and schools activity room, and the kids made winter bird feeders from pine cones crammed full of a gloopy mixture of lard, seeds and cranberries
Highlights: The kids had plenty of fun making and creating in the schools centre, and I was impressed with the educational promotion on cranberries ✨
