What to expect

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is a beautiful destination with picturesque villages, drystone walls, flower-filled hay meadows, and rolling hills. The park features steep-sided valleys, heather-covered moorland, and a patchwork of dry stone walls and barns. Visitors can explore the countryside, visit the Malham Tarn Estate, and enjoy scenic walks, including the easy-to-follow walk from Malham village to the waterfall at Janet's Foss. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including kingfishers, and offers opportunities for picnics and playtime along the River Swale. The Yorkshire Dales is very dog-friendly, with miles of footpaths to explore and trees to sniff. A Tramper, a battery-powered all-terrain mobility scooter, is available to support less mobile visitors to explore the countryside around Malham Tarn

Yorkshire Dales: A rich man from Nottingham who wanted to cross the river
This family's experience:

Activities: We drove through the Yorkshire Dales, admiring the landscapes. We saw sheep, stone houses and walls. "We drove at random through the National Park and marveled at the long rows of hills that are strangely flat at the top."

Highlights: We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and the freedom of exploring. "Everywhere sheep graze, the houses are completely built of field stones, and there are even more little walls than in the rest of the country. Very pretty." ✨
