Christ Church Meadow is a flood-meadow and popular walking and picnic spot in Oxford, England. It is roughly triangular in shape, bounded by the River Thames, the River Cherwell, and Christ Church. The meadow provides access to many of the college boathouses and has sports fields, as well as areas grazed by cattle. Visitors can enjoy a circular route around the meadow, taking in the scenic views of the rivers and the surrounding colleges, including Christ Church and Merton College. The meadow has a rich history, with notable events including James Sadler's balloon flight in 1784 and its use as a location for Oxford University's rowing events.
