The Heights of Abraham is a tourist attraction in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, England. It consists of a hilltop park on top of Masson Hill, accessed from the village by the Heights of Abraham cable car. The heights are named after a supposed resemblance to the Plains of Abraham, also known as the Heights of Abraham, in Quebec, Canada. Amongst the attractions in the park are cavern and mine tours, including the Great Masson Cavern and the Great Rutland Cavern, as well as views of the dramatic scenery of the valley of the River Derwent. The park also features the Victoria Prospect Tower, which provides panoramic views of the valley, and Tinker's Shaft, which offers a vertical view into the Great Masson Cavern. The site is home to several dining options, including the Vista restaurant and the Terrace Cafe, as well as an ice-cream parlour and a shop specialising in rock- and mineral-themed items. The Heights of Abraham is a family-friendly destination, with two adventure playgrounds and a variety of exhibitions and guided tours. Dogs are welcome on the cable cars and around the estate, but not in the underground caverns
