What to expect

Manchester Art Gallery is a world-class art museum that houses a collection of over 25,000 objects, including outstanding Pre-Raphaelite paintings, craft and design, and early twentieth-century British art. The gallery offers a range of events and activities for both children and adults, including talks, tours, and hands-on workshops. Families are welcome, and the gallery provides facilities such as a restaurant, cafe, and shop. The gallery also has a Friends membership scheme, which allows art lovers to get more involved with the gallery and attend special events. The gallery's collection is displayed in three connected buildings, two of which were designed by Sir Charles Barry, and the building that links them was designed by Hopkins Architects
