What to expect
South Pier is a leisure pier in Lowestoft, Suffolk, offering a range of activities for families. The pier is part of the Lowestoft seafront and promenade, which provides easy access to the beaches. The beach is a popular location for fishing, crabbing, swimming, surfing, and windsurfing, and there is a seasonal lifeguard service. The pier is also home to the South Pier Family Entertainment Centre, which is suitable for all ages. Additionally, there are public toilets and showers on the beach, as well as local independent cafes and restaurants nearby. Dogs are not permitted on the South Beach between 1st May and 30th September, but the promenade is a popular area for dog walkers
