What to expect

Somerleyton Hall is a country house and 5,000-acre estate in Suffolk, England. The hall is Grade II* listed and features a clock tower with a clock designed by Benjamin Vulliamy. The formal gardens, also Grade II* listed, cover 12 acres and include a yew hedge maze, one of the finest in Britain. The estate is home to a variety of gardens, including a sub-tropical garden, herbaceous border, arboretum, and rose garden. The hall and gardens have undergone significant changes over the years, with various owners contributing to their design and development. Today, the estate is owned by Hugh Crossley, 4th Baron Somerleyton, who is rewilding 1,000 acres of the estate. The gardens are also home to a children's play area, making it a family-friendly destination
