Greenwich Park is a former hunting park in Greenwich and one of the largest single green spaces in south-east London. The park has welcomed generations of visitors and offers dramatic scenery and famous views over the capital. It is home to the world-famous Royal Observatory, where the Greenwich Prime Meridian begins, and features a variety of landscapes, including flower gardens, grassy spaces, a children's playground, and wooded areas. The park also contains Roman and Anglo-Saxon remains and is listed Grade I on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. Visitors can enjoy the shade of historic tree avenues, explore the Queen's Orchard, visit the National Maritime Museum, and see the statue of General Wolfe. The park is a great place for families, with a boating lake, a pedalo rental service, and plenty of space for picnics and relaxation
