Big Ben, also known as the Elizabeth Tower, is a iconic clock tower located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, England. The tower stands 316 feet tall and features four clock faces, each 22.5 feet in diameter. The clock mechanism is original and was the largest and most accurate four-faced striking and chiming clock in the world upon its completion. Big Ben is a prominent symbol of Britain and parliamentary democracy, and is often used in the establishing shot of films set in London. Visitors can take a guided tour of the clock tower and see the clock mechanism room, behind the four clock dials, and the Belfry, where the famous bell is located
