What to expect
The Royal Armouries Museum is a national museum that holds the National Collection of Arms and Armour. The museum features several galleries, including the War Gallery, which explores ancient and medieval warfare, as well as 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th-century conflicts. The Peace Gallery examines the potential for a future free of arms and concepts like disarmament and détente. Other galleries focus on Africa and Asia, tournament arms and armour, and self-defence. The museum's main building was designed to accommodate its vast collection, with ceiling heights of up to 6.5 meters to display the longest staff weapons vertically. The Hall of Steel, a giant staircase, features trophy displays composed of 2,500 objects. The museum offers a variety of exhibits and displays, making it a great place to visit with family and friends
