Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is a municipally-owned public museum and art gallery located in the city of Brighton and Hove in the South East of England. The museum is part of Brighton & Hove Museums and features a wide range of collections, including decorative art, natural sciences, world art, fine art, costume and textile, and toys. The museum is situated in the Royal Pavilion Estate, which was originally built for the Prince of Wales, later George IV, and completed in 1805. The museum and art gallery occupied its current situation in the building in 1902 and has undergone several refurbishments, including a major £10 million refurbishment in 2002
