Jane Austen Centre

The Jane Austen Centre is a permanent exhibition that tells the story of Jane Austen's life in Bath and the effect the city had on her writing. The centre is located in a beautiful Georgian building and offers a snapshot of what it would be like to live in Regency times, with exhibits on fashion, food, and society. Visitors can dress up in Regency costumes, enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, and see a waxwork of Jane Austen. The centre also hosts the annual Jane Austen Festival, which includes a costumed promenade through the city and other events. The Regency Tea Room has been awarded the Tea Guild's 'Award of Excellence' and offers a variety of teas, cakes, and light lunches
