Aylesford

Aylesford is a village and civil parish on the River Medway in Kent, England. The village has a long history, with evidence of activity dating back to Neolithic times. It has been the site of several battles, including the Battle of Aylesford in 455 AD and the Battle of the Medway during the Roman invasion of Britain. The parish church of St Peter and St Paul dates to the Norman period, and the village is also home to the 14th-century Aylesford Bridge and the restored medieval monastic house of Carmelite friars, Aylesford Priory.
