Qasr Al Muwaiji is a historic fort and former residence of the ruling Al Nahyan family. The fort has a simple yet striking design, with a square enclosure, projecting corner towers, and a grand entrance gate. It was used as a diwan, or council chamber, and as a place for the community to gather. The fort has undergone several restorations and expansions over the years, including additions made by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE. Today, Qasr Al Muwaiji is a museum that offers guided tours and features interactive exhibits and performances. Visitors can learn about the history of the fort and the Al Nahyan family, as well as the culture and traditions of the UAE. The nearby Al Muwaiji Oasis, with its 21,000 palm trees and traditional falaj irrigation system, is also worth exploring
