What to expect

Uzuncaburç is an archaeological site in Mersin Province, Turkey, containing the remnants of the ancient city of Diokaisareia or Diocaesarea. The site includes several structures such as the Zeus Temple, Tyche Temple, Hellenistic tower, and a theater. The Zeus Temple is a peripteros type temple with 36 columns and was probably commissioned by Seleucus I Nicator. The Tyche Temple has an architrave over five columns and was commissioned by Oppius and Kyria. The Hellenistic tower is 16x13x23 meters in size and was used as a hiding place for the people during wars. The site also features a necropolis area with many rock-cut tombs
