What to expect

The Ephesus Archaeological Museum is a museum that houses finds from the nearby Ephesus excavation site. The museum has a collection of approximately 64,000 pieces, including the ancient statue of the Greek Goddess Artemis retrieved from the temple of the goddess in Ephesus. The museum is arranged according to various subjects and finding groups, such as the House Finds Hall, the Coin and the Treasury Department, the Grave Finds Hall, the Artemisi Hall of Ephesus, and the Hall of the Emperor Kültlei. The museum also features various architectural and sculptural works, including two great statues of Artemis, the head of Eros, and the head of Socrates. Additionally, the museum has a section for the visually impaired, where replica and original works are exhibited
