Emirgan Park

Emirgan Park is a historical urban park located in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul, on the European coast of the Bosphorus. It is one of the largest public parks in Istanbul, covering an area of 117 acres. The park has a rich history, dating back to the Byzantine era, and has been owned by various notable figures, including Ottoman sultans and the Khedive of Egypt and Sudan. Today, the park is a popular recreation area, featuring two decorative ponds, jogging tracks, and picnic tables. It is also home to over 120 species of plants, including rare trees such as the Stone Pine and the Turkish pine. The park is closely associated with the tulip, the traditional flower of the Ottoman Empire, and hosts an annual international tulip festival every April. The park features three historic pavilions, the Yellow, Pink, and White, which have been restored and now serve as cafes and restaurants.
