Canyon Tameghza, Tozeur, Tunisia

What to expect

Tamerza is a mountain oasis located in the Tozeur Governorate of Tunisia. It is situated near the Algerian border and is known for its clear water cascades and springs that irrigate the town's park. The old town was abandoned in 1969 after a flood, but it still features an old marabout and a canyon. The oasis is surrounded by steep and wild countryside, making it a unique and interesting place to visit. The town is also close to the salt lakes and receives fresh water from the nearby hills
