The White Buddha

Temple Thailand

What to expect

The White Buddha, also known as Wat Rong Khun, is a Buddhist temple in Thailand. The primary structure of the temple is made of a basic concrete frame and a wooden roof, and its outer surfaces are adorned with white plaster and incorporated glass inserts. The temple was created by master Chalermchai Kositpipat and attracts a large number of visitors. The temple compound will have nine buildings when completed, including the existing ubosot, a hall of relics, a meditation hall, an art gallery, and living quarters for monks. The temple has a strict dress code, and visitors can light candles and meditate on the large tiled platform surrounding the White Buddha. The temple offers a peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and rice paddies
