Sukhothai Historical Park

Sukhothai Historical Park is a historical park in Thailand that covers the ruins of Sukhothai, the capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries. The park is home to 193 ruins on 70 km2 of land, including the remains of the royal palace and twenty-six temples, the largest being Wat Mahathat. The park is maintained by the Fine Arts Department of Thailand with help from UNESCO, which has declared it a World Heritage Site. The park welcomes thousands of visitors each year and is a great place to learn about the history and culture of Thailand. The park's architecture is a mix of Thai and Khmer styles, reflecting the influences of the different cultures that have shaped the region over the centuries
