Krabi Emerald Pool

Pool Khlong Thom, Krabi, Thailand

What to expect

The Krabi Emerald Pool, also known as Sa Morakot, is a natural turquoise blue pond with fresh water supplied from natural streams coming down from the hills. Located in the province of Krabi in Thailand, it is one of the best excursions in the region. The pool is surrounded by a mystical jungle, where visitors can discover two crystal-clear lakes, the picturesque Emerald Pool and the Blue Pool. The Emerald Pool is around 1-2 meters deep, making it a great spot for a refreshing bath. The ambience of the pool is stunning, and photographers will love it there. The Blue Pool, another highlight of the National Park, is a small deep blue pond surrounded by deep jungle, where bathing is forbidden. The pool is supplied by a hot underground spring, and visitors can see small air bubbles rising to the surface. The walk to the Emerald Pool is really enchanting and a true nature experience, with a very well-signed footpath leading about 1.4 kilometers into the jungle, past crystal-clear streams, small yellow ponds, and a gigantic variety of tropical plants and trees
