The Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre is a place where art and artifacts from the past and present of Tanzania and other East African countries can be viewed in a single compound. The centre boasts various carvings, gemstones, artifacts, clothing and books. It has a museum building with modern architectural design, showcasing a big collection of African art, including woodcrafts, statues, masks, furniture, utensils, and antique doors from Zanzibar. The centre also has different shops for souvenirs, a restaurant, and a coffee bar. Additionally, it features a state-of-the-art gallery, a spice centre, and a glass shop with recycled glass crafts. The centre is home to the 'Tanzanite', a rare blue/violet gemstone found only in Tanzania, and offers a wide range of masks, which provide insight into African culture
