Maokong

Maokong is an area located in Wenshan District of Taipei, Taiwan, known for its tea culture and stunning views of the city. Visitors can hike through the many intertwining footpaths, which were once used to transport tea, and enjoy the local tea shops and restaurants. The area is also home to the Taipei Tea Research and Promotion Center and offers a panoramic view of Taipei Basin. The Maokong Gondola, a gondola lift system, provides a convenient way to reach the area and offers a scenic ride with views of the city and surrounding landscape. The gondola passes over undulating terrain, offering glimpses of moving trains, parks, and freeway traffic. At the final stop, visitors can explore the many tea plantations and tea shops, and enjoy the famous Muzha Tieguanyin or Wenshan Pouchong tea
