What to expect

Vevey is a town situated in the southwest of Switzerland, in the French-speaking part of the country. Its location on Lake Geneva with a view of the Alps and the mild climate make the town a popular destination. The town is often referred to as the 'pearl of the Swiss Riviera'. Vevey has a lot to offer, including its idyllic lakeside promenade, old town with alleyways and historic buildings, and the Grande Place market square. The town is also home to several museums, such as the Alimentarium, a unique museum dedicated to nutrition, and Chaplin's World, a museum showcasing the life and work of Charlie Chaplin. The surrounding Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offer spectacular views and the opportunity to sample wine. Vevey is a great base for exploring the surrounding area, including Chillon Castle and the town of Montreux
