The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces, stretching for about 30 km along the south-facing northern shores of Lake Geneva, cover the lower slopes of the mountainside between the villages and the lake. The terraced vineyards, arranged in terraces, benefit from the sun and its warming rays three times over. Visitors can explore the 800 hectares of the terraced winegrowing slopes on foot or by bicycle, and take part in a wine tasting in a wine cellar. The area is home to charming villages, such as St-Saphorin, with its narrow alleyways and characteristic winegrowers’ houses, and offers stunning views of Lake Geneva. Families can enjoy a walk through the vineyard, followed by a visit to a cellar to taste the precious drops, and learn about regional wine culture
