What to expect

The Rhine Falls is a waterfall located in Switzerland and is the most powerful waterfall in Europe. The falls are 150 meters wide and 23 meters high, with an average water flow of 250 cubic meters per second in winter and 600 cubic meters per second in summer. The waterfall was formed in the last ice age, approximately 14,000 to 17,000 years ago, by erosion-resistant rocks narrowing the riverbed. Visitors can take a boat tour to get close to the falls and even walk on platforms that extend over the Rhine. The area also features a children's playground and an interactive exhibition about the Rhine Falls. The falls are a great place to visit with family and friends, offering a unique and exciting experience
