Unterseen is a historic town and municipality in the Interlaken-Oberhasli administrative district in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. It is located on the eastern shore of Lake Thun, between the creeks Lombach and Aare. The town has a well-preserved old town, known as the Stedtli, with a rectangular square and a beautiful church tower. The town is surrounded by steep mountains and offers stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Unterseen has a rich history, with the oldest traces of settlement dating back to the Neolithic era, and has been an important player in the tourism industry since the 19th century
