Activities: We visited the Appenzeller Brauchtumsmuseum. "The Urnäscher are proud of this custom and keep it alive in their families." We saw masks, costumes, and headwear of the Silvesterchläuse. We explored workshops, the music room, and tried out instruments. "We even got to play the chamber organ from the 18th century."
Highlights: My son was fascinated by the model-building scenes on the headwear and the tools in the workshops. "We were especially happy to be able to play the (very loud) bell bowls, which belong to the custom of the Silvesterchlausen." ✨
