Värmlands Museum is a cultural history museum located in Karlstad, showcasing the history of Värmland. The museum has a collection of around 40,000 objects, 9,000 works of art, and 1,000,000 photographs. It is divided into three basic exhibitions, where visitors can learn about the history of Värmland and Värmland art. The museum also has a Science Centre with various experiments to try out. The museum is housed in two buildings, with the oldest one dating back to 1929, and has an auditorium, café, and restaurant. The museum preserves various historical sites throughout Värmland, including the historic farm Von Echstedtska Gården and the visitor centre Torsby Finnskogscentrum. All areas of the museum are barrier-free, making it accessible for people with mobility impairments
