Glaskogen is a nature reserve located in the province of Värmland, Sweden. It is Värmland's largest nature reserve, covering an area of approximately 28,000 hectares. The reserve features a hilly landscape with several lakes, including the two largest lakes, Stora Gla and Övre Gla. Glaskogen is known for its hiking trails, with over 300 km of trails to explore, as well as its paddling trails, which cover around 150 km. The reserve is also home to a variety of wildlife, including birds such as the lesser whitethroat, three-toed woodpecker, and loons. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hiking, canoeing, and fishing, and there are also opportunities for camping and staying in cabins. The reserve has a rich history, with evidence of human settlement dating back to the 1500s, and it has been an important source of timber and fuel in the past
