What to expect
Runriket, also known as The Rune Kingdom, is a unique area with the highest concentration of runestones in the world. Located around Lake Vallentuna, it features nine historical sites showcasing various types of Viking Age runic carings. The entrance to Runriket is marked by Jarlabanke's bridge, where visitors can explore the history of runes and immerse themselves in the lives of those who inhabited the area during the Viking Age. The area offers a scenic route around the lake, with clearly marked ancient monuments and information boards providing insight into the history and significance of each site. Families can enjoy an introduction to Runriket, exploring the experience park, visiting the outdoor pavilion exhibition, and finding attractive picnic areas near the historical sites
