The Museum of Ethnography is a Swedish science museum housing a collection of about 220,000 items relating to the ethnography of peoples from around the world, including from China, Korea, South and Southeast Asia, the Pacific region, the Americas, and Africa. The museum is situated in Museiparken at Gärdet in Stockholm. Among the oldest collections at the museum are objects gathered in the Swedish colony New Sweden and during the Cook expeditions in the 18th century. The museum has a digital exhibition that explores the role and significance of birds in material culture, society, and somology. Visitors can also see a contemporary replica of a totem pole outside the museum's entrance, which was given by the Haisla Nation after the museum returned the original pole to them
