What to expect

Årstabergsparken is a public park in the Liljeholmen district of Stockholm. The park features a variety of attractions, including a 40-meter-high plateau with a 11-meter-tall viewpoint tower offering panoramic views of Södermalm and Liljeholmen. The park is designed with a 'forest' theme and features greenery throughout. It includes amenities such as birdhouses, insect hotels, walking paths, benches, a slide, and a playground with a rain shelter. The park is divided into different areas, including Rävskogen, Sjövikskröken, Kråkberget, and Blockriket, each with its own unique features and activities. Rävskogen has a promenade with play opportunities, a staircase carved into the rock, and a slide. Sjövikskröken features a parkour facility, swings, and a basketball court. Kråkberget has a wooden tower with slides of different heights and widths, as well as a gathering place with benches under a canopy. Blockriket is a natural playground with logs and stones, and also has a water channel and a climbing dragon. The park's design takes into account its natural surroundings, with an emphasis on preserving and enhancing the existing ecosystem

Årstaskogen and Årsta Holmar Nature Reserve and Adventure Park
This family's experience:

Activities: We visited a fun adventure park with obstacle courses and climbing frames. There were sandboxes and areas to build dens among the trees. We played with water in channels and pumps. It's a fun park with adventurous features

Highlights: My son especially loved playing with water, which is always a hit! It felt like you didn't have to be right next to each other, even though we were in a playground. There was a great mix of activities ✨
