Excursion to Torö and Torö local history association

Excursion to Torö and Torö local history association
This family's experience:

Activities: We met with Birgitta at the Hembygdshuset, located in a red building. The association has organized exhibitions with different themes, such as fishing, agriculture, and school. We saw a permanent exhibition about life on Torö and a temporary exhibition for the 100th anniversary of Torö School. The children tried writing with ink

Highlights: The children loved the temporary exhibition about Torö school. They "got to sit in school desks and try writing with a real ink pen, which is dipped in inkwells!" The permanent exhibition gave us an insight on how it was to live on Torö in the past, including a model of a Torö farm and the tools used to build boats ✨
