Foteviken Museum is an archaeological open-air museum that showcases what life might have been like in a town during the late Viking Age - early Middle Ages. The museum features a reconstructed Viking town with 23 buildings of different character and a Viking ship reconstructed based on an archaeological find in Foteviken. Visitors can explore the Viking village, learn about the Viking Age, Norse mythology, and participate in various activities such as Viking-era games, archery, and ax throwing. The museum also offers a living history experience, with costumed interpreters portraying Viking Age characters and demonstrating various aspects of daily life
