Glimmingehus is a medieval era castle located in southern Sweden, specifically in Scania. It is the best preserved medieval stronghold in Scandinavia, featuring defensive arrangements such as parapets, false doors, and dead-end corridors. The castle was built between 1499 and 1506 by the Danish knight Jens Holgersen Ulfstand and contains many artifacts from the era, including Venetian glass and Spanish ceramics. Today, the castle is administered by the Swedish National Heritage Board and offers guided tours, a museum, medieval kitchen, shop, and restaurant. In the summer, the castle hosts events and storytelling sessions, making it a great place to visit with family and friends
