Gränna is a picturesque town in Jönköping County, Sweden, known for its charming cobblestone streets, vibrant harbor, and stunning views of Lake Vättern. The town has a rich history dating back to the 17th century and is famous for its preserved wooden buildings and the Polkagris candy factory, a local delicacy. Visitors can enjoy the town's steep streets, old wooden houses, and the Gränna mountain. The town is also home to the Grenna Museum, which hosts an exhibition on the balloonist Salomon August Andrée's expedition to the North Pole. Gränna is a popular tourist destination and offers a ferry service to the island Visingsö. The town is also known for its red and white polkagris stick candy, which was first made by the widow Amalia Eriksson in 1859

Activities: We went to Gränna, the home of the polkagris candy. We visited some of the town's candy shops. The history enthusiasts among us also went to the Grenna Museum and saw the exhibition about the André expedition

Activities: We visited Gränna, known for its Polkagrisar. We went to a confectionery and watched the confectioners at work. The confectioners made their sweets singing and laughing, making their audience test each stage of the manufacture

Highlights: The children were fascinated by the candy making process. "Our favorite confectionery is the polkapojkarna", the colorful candies and the joyful confectioners. It was a very nice visit ✨
