Storsjön

Storsjön, also known as 'The Great Lake', is the fifth-largest lake in Sweden, with a surface area of 464 square kilometers and a maximum depth of 74 meters. Located in the heart of Jämtland, the lake is a significant part of the region's hydrology, with the river Indalsälven flowing from it. The island of Frösön dominates the lake, offering unique landscapes and cultural significance. The lake is also said to be the home of the legendary Storsjöodjuret, a lake monster similar to the Loch Ness Monster.
