Rättvik is a locality on the eastern shore of Lake Siljan in Dalarna County, Sweden. It has a long history as a holiday resort and was the site of Sweden's first tourist hotel, which was inaugurated in 1894. The town has a population of around 4,700 people and is known for its beautiful scenery, outdoor activities, and cultural events. Visitors can enjoy the town's long pier, the Rättvik Church, and the Vasa Monument. The town also hosts several events throughout the year, including the Classic Car Week, the market 'Rättviks Marknad', and the Bingsjöstämman Folk Music Festival. For families, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as the 725m long toboggan run, hiking trails, and a recreation area with a golf course and training grounds. The town is also close to the Nittsjö ceramic factory and the Styggforsen waterfall, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area
