Gagnef is a locality situated in Gagnef Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden. It consists of several small villages, including The Church Village, The Station Village, Moje, Tjaerna, Graev, Gaersholn, Gagnefs Grauda, Osterfors, Vaesterfors, Nordbaeck, Gagnefsbyn, Nordauker, and Pellesgaurdarna. The locality is home to the Ottilia Adelborg Museum and is the birthplace of composer Oskar Lindberg. Gagnef Municipality has a population of around 10,384 people and covers an area of 812.3221 km2. The industry in the municipality is dominated by small and semi-small companies mainly operating in the forest industry.
