Secret Beach, located in Mirissa, Sri Lanka, is a small hidden beach with a bay area just around the corner of the town's main beach. The beach is nestled in a cove and flanked by small hills covered in lush green palm trees on either side, creating a number of smaller beaches. It consists of three smaller beaches: Blue Lagoon, a tidal rock pool perfect for a lazy swim; Palm Cove, a wonderful snorkelling location where the jungle meets the sea; and Shelly Beach, made of a series of rock pools with a blowhole. The beach offers great activities such as swimming, snorkelling, and lazing by the beach. Sri Lanka is home to five out of seven sea turtles in the world who frequent the southern waters, making it a great spot for turtle sightings while snorkelling. The beach is relatively quiet and peaceful compared to the main Mirissa Beach, with two different palm tree-lined beaches that come out and connect on a rocky headland. The first beach opens out into the open ocean, ideal for a proper swim, while the second beach is surrounded by a rocky outcrop, creating a small, shallow lagoon that is protected from the waves and perfect for a calm and still swim
